Such a wonderful experience! Just now left summer symposium, miss it already!😭
I would love a studio recording of this.
Hello David, I think this was one of the best of your series. Keep up the great work!
Rest peacefully,Mr.Smith.🕊️
You lost me at 19:00 when you claimed the lungs do all the work and the diaphragm is merely moved down. The diaphragm is a muscle that moves downwards and creates a vacuum which sucks air into the lungs. I.e., it engages in the inhale. The lungs have no muscles of their own and are merely comprised of a network of alveoli that form a spongy tissue. Please open an anatomy or vocal pedagogy book before attempting to teach others.
Also, the “stomach” is a digestive organ and is not synonymous with “belly” or “abdomen.”
❤❤❤
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I love this version of the star spangled banner.
Smart AND handsome… 😉
Almost all of these bands are essentially drum corps + woodwinds.
That was awesome! Way to go guys!
I've played this arrangement on the Android Accordion
Best part of marching music
What books are you referencing through this meeting?
Nice Vedio of Educators.
What happened to the 2024 recordings?
Impressive jazz trumpet musical mastery. tremendous tequnique, sound and feel. After a lovely fanfare for 30 seconds or so, he breaks into a lovely swing. No wonder Rex was an opening feature. As a 75 yo comeback player after 45 years or thereabouts away from the trumpet, I would say to any young player that this is the best shot you could ever have of watching, listening and repeating anything you could ever dream to have in your bag and under the fingers and chops. Memorise plenty of this-and-that on this video , being able to hear the notes and see all the fingering .... where do you ever find that??!! I am too busy on other things classical, but if I had this when I was originally playing, I would guess that 15 hours sorting through this over a period of a few weeks would bring your jazz ability up massively. It is a fantastic gift ....
As a member of the Trojan Guard 1977 - 1981, Mr. H, Mr. C, Mr. Kennedy, and Cathy molded me into who I am today. He is one of the best teachers and leaders.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Love you too Levi
how cool is that!
My districts too damn poor to do BOA even though we place fairly well compared to other BOA bands around us in comps, we’re not completely ass, we’re just poor
❤
Wonderful descriptions of your current educational work, Richard! Excellent trajectory for education. Thanks for your tenacity in the face of STEM and other educational tendencies that don't prioritize creativity.
So you’re going to post this little promo video but not the actual performance from the camp itself?
Such a beautiful soul to have touched so many in her short time on earth. She probably is in the front row of Heaven’s choir❤
Congrats Sheri!!
I have started my training to become a drum major and I am excited though I know that one of the requirements will be hard to meet
Class of ‘19 here. It was an honor to play for Mr. Seladian for the 3 yrs I’ve marched #GoLions🦁
wonderful job, best color guard thing i’ve seen 😁😆❤️❤️🏳️🏳️
Thank you David for showcasing Rachel. She is an actual treasure in our high school and community.
She is a treasure for all of us.

Impressive Tim!
Yesss!! Student of Frazier’s at North Cobb and love this!!
I remember Scott’s talk before attending the Midwest Clinic in Chicago. Super influential experience that I still remember almost 20 years later
OK ……
MS. Love is at lms. I’m one of her students is she moving to rbms?
Go Sheldon 😊❤❤😊❤❤ soooooooo proud 👏 of you! You sound so good on the program!!!
Thank you for your time in cultivating this meaningful series David. This podcast specifically was all the things I needed to hear, in addition to listening to a kindred spirit that has and had her own children throughout her career. The feeling of being alone is real, as a mom of 4, and I frequently feel I am forging my own way which is yet one more hourly exhausting task in dealing with the mom guilt on top of bandmom guilt and knowing I’m making a difference.. but am I spread too thin to make as much of a difference in all buckets as those buckets need. :). As a clarinet player… the reed analogy was perfect … thank you for sharing your experience today. ❤️
my brothers was in the band
Woohoo!!
